OUR STORY:  A "Very Unique Me-We" Journey

2002: Our Founder, Veronique read a 4-year (massive and important) study report issued by The American Assembly entitled "Building a More United America" and culminating with a recommendation for a "National Dialogue among citizens."

{She thought that was a great idea and felt deeply that this needed to exist, and...

took action!]

2006: Watching Academy Awards - a year with many films addressing intense and important "socio-economic" subject matters (Crash, Syriana, Good Night and Good Luck, Brokeback Mountain and TransAmerica - to name a few -- watch them if you haven't already). Actors and Directors kept saying during interviews that they hoped that the issues raised in the films would "become a part of the National Dialogue."

[Light bulb! - let's use films to spark the National Dialogue! This now includes other forms of "information sources,"]

AND... ACTION!  was born

to empower people from all walks of life to connect the dots between their

"freedom of expression rights" :

 ACCESSING INFORMATION

VOICING OPINIONS

AND... TAKING ACTION!

These 3 "rights" became the core of our  action-purposed twist on a workshop:

THE ACTIONSHOP(TM).

TAKE A 2 MINUTE RIDE WITH US - we believe that creatively expressing our "issues" matter, a little sarcasm sometimes helps, too in cartoon-life. In real-life, sarcasm can lead us far from taking action to respond to the what inspired our sarcasm, agreed?

Honestly, we did do much talking because it was too hot to sit in the sun, but we were ready!

Let's reboot in 2021 and beyond!

Hello, Joanne! - our Creative Expression Partner - her back is turned - multiple languages, ages as young as 4

(our Founder, Veronique's 2nd cousin)!

The canvas was partitioned in 3 panels, with one panel gifted to UNESCO in Paris, the other two to the United Nations Department of Public Information in NYC.

We are definitely doing THIS again!
